Failed application

Hi Girl2k

I've received an email that I didn't get a scholarship. What is the chance that some applicants could not make it, and that there would be a few openings? Regards, Slapsnot 10:27, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]

  • There is a waiting list and those on the waiting list have been sent emails indicating that they are on it. We weren't able to give travel grants to all of the deserving applicants we considered. --Girl2k 17:10, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Okay, I see. Thank you for replying Girl2k. I just wanted to know what is my chances. Regards Slapsnot 12:06, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Hi Girl2k. I have another question, could you please tell me if any other South Africans applied for the Scholarships? I could maybe get financial support from someone in my country if a small amount of users applied. Kind regards, Slapsnot 18:33, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Yes, other South Africans applied. --Girl2k 03:21, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • Thanks, could you please tell me how many? I really, really, really appreciate all the trouble. I've got this one contact and he said that if I had a good application and not a lot of other South Africans applied, then he would sponsor me. I really just wish to attend the Wikimania. Thank you again! Kind regards, Slapsnot 12:21, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
  • I don't have access to that number. You should direct your question to either user:Austin Hair or user:Bastique. --Girl2k 16:41, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply[reply]
