This presentation covers the Wikimedia servers and network infrastructure from a very high altitude perspective.. This does not focus on the mediawiki software specifically, but instead covers that along with our use of mysql, memcached, load balancing, and a number of other relevant sub-topics to the running of the servers. Some discussion will be given over to show the history of how we developed our infrastructure over time, from a shoe-string budget to a large, donor-sustained enterprise. (video) | ||
